- I will always be available for the full duration of the agreed slot. If the student arrives late I cannot guarantee to make the time up afterwards as I may have another lesson. I will send a text/email reminder after 5 minutes. If there has been no communication after 15 minutes I will log off but be on standby. Please text/phone so I can log back on and complete the rest of the lesson.
- I reserve the right to terminate tuition in the event of frequent cancellations, late payment or the student is not fully committed.
- Holliday lessons cannot be cancelled or rescheduled
Lessons, Preparation and Marking
- The fee includes my preparation time, lesson time and setting homework (if requested)
- Homework will be discussed and marked during the lesson. For exam questions this will include looking at the mark scheme and how the marks are awarded
- Homework should preferably be submitted the day before the lesson. Although I don’t formally mark the work prior to the lesson I like to get a feel for the standard so that I can plan the lesson accordingly.
- Marking (with detailed feedback) outside of lesson time will be charged at my hourly rate.
Terminating tuition or taking a break
- 7 days notice must be given to terminate tuition. Any fees already paid will be refunded
- If students wish to take a break from tuition (in addition to the breaks they take during holidays) 7 days notice will be required. There are two options 1. If they wish to keep the same time each week when they return a 50% retainer fee will be charged for each week. 2. When they return they will be moved to the top of my waiting list and offered the next place which becomes available at the current fee as advertised on my website, this may be a higher fee than when they started tuition.
